Ramadan Mubarak, September 1st, 2008

Assalaamu'alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuhu.

Dear Muslims all:

Ramadan Mubarak to you all. I hope you're all making the most of it by engaging and increasing in reciting of the Qur'an, performing Salah, Zikr etc and not merely going round congratulating everyone about the arrival of Ramadan. Insha Allah I'll be writing about Ramadan and includes some of articles already available elsewhere in internet.

Inshallah you will ALL be remembered in my duas during this month and I request for the same also please. May Almighty Allah accept all our good deeds in this month and give us the ability to turn away from sins from now onwards, Ameen.

Learn How to Read Qur'an and Tajwid

Assalaamu'alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuhu,

Dear Muslims,

Reading the Qur'an is very important in our life. We must learn how to read Qur'an, try to memorize it (some parts of it), understand it, and must follow its teachings.

Allah SWt has said that "And indeed! We have made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember; but is there any person to do so? (QS. Al-Qamar 54:17)

And One of the Hadiith says that: "Rasulullah SAW told us: Those people who gather in one of the houses of Allah (Masjid) and read the Qur'an, and discuss its meaning and mesaage, Allah SWT sends upon them peace; His mercy covers them, the angels surround them and Allah SWT remembers them in the company of His Angels.. (Muslim)

And Rasulullah SAW advised us: The best among you are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it to others" (Sahih al-Bukhari)

Umm al-Mu'miniin Umm Salma RA was asked about the recitation of Rasulullah SAW, she described" "It was clear and distinct in every letter." (Ibn Hajar; Ibn 'Abd al-Barr)

Rasulullah SAW once said to his Shahaabah:"The hearts gets rusted as does the iron." Shahaabah asked him:"How can we clean the rust of the hearts? O Messenger of Allah." Rasulullah SAW replied: "The rust of the hearts is cleaned by remembering the death and reading the Qur'an." (Mishkaat)

If you need your children or yourself to learn how to read Qur'an, please either you email me at aswita@gmail.com or wita29@yahoo.com or call me at 516-248-2549.
